What to eat when…

What Should I Eat When Pregnant and Nauseous?

When nausea hits, dry bland carbs (crackers, toast), ginger, cold foods, and small frequent snacks are easiest on your stomach. An empty stomach makes nausea worse, so graze.

Morning sickness rarely stays in the morning. Keeping a little food in your stomach and avoiding strong smells are the two biggest levers.

Keep dry crackers by the bed; nibble before getting up.
Ginger — tea, biscuits, or sweets — genuinely helps many people.
Cold foods over hot (less smell).
Sip fluids between (not during) meals; try cold water, ginger ale, or ice pops if water is hard.
