How much…? Limits
How Much Water Should I Drink When Pregnant?
Aim for about 8–12 cups (roughly 2–3 liters) of fluid a day during pregnancy, and more in hot weather or when active. Good hydration supports your extra blood volume, digestion, and amniotic fluid.
Your body is doing more now, so fluid needs rise. Water is best, but milk, and the water in fruit and soups all count.
8–12 cups/day as a general target.
More in heat, exercise, or if you have vomiting/diarrhea.
A quick check: pale-yellow urine usually means you're well hydrated.
Staying hydrated also eases common issues like constipation, fatigue, and nausea.
