Can I eat…? Specific foods
Can I Eat Honey When Pregnant?
Yes — honey is safe for you to eat during pregnancy. The botulism warning about honey applies to babies under 12 months, not to you. Your mature digestive system handles it fine.
Infant botulism is why babies under one shouldn't have honey — but a pregnant adult's gut neutralizes the spores, and they don't cross the placenta. So honey in tea, on toast, or in baking is all fine.
Honey in any normal culinary amount.
It's still sugar — enjoy in moderation, especially if watching blood sugar.
