What Foods Help Pregnancy Heartburn?
For pregnancy heartburn, choose smaller, low-acid, non-spicy meals, and avoid lying down right after eating. What and how you eat both matter.
Heartburn is common later in pregnancy as the growing baby presses on your stomach. Gentle, frequent meals reduce the pressure and acid.
Easier foods: oats, bananas, yogurt, lean proteins, vegetables, wholegrains.
Common triggers: spicy, fried, and very fatty foods, citrus, tomato, chocolate, caffeine, fizzy drinks.
Eat smaller amounts more often; stay upright for an hour after.
